Each day we are confronted by a slew of different tasks that make up your day.

These are both professional and personal, but they will take up most of your time. It’s very easy to be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of things that need to be done and constantly feel like you're not accomplishing anything. If you find yourself in such a situation day and day out: start small.

Accomplishme

nt is something that grows with each task you successfully complete…no matter how minor. Once you’ve set for yourself a goal, see it through. This will fill you with a sense of accomplishment that will help you on to your next one, and the next one, and the next.

Before you know it, you will have a lot of tasks completed and end the day with a great deal of satisfaction. You will be in control of your day in a significant way and will no longer be overwhelmed.

The key is to accomplish each task separately and not to try to spread your attention around to so many tasks that nothing gets done. Finish what you started and see it through to completion. You may not get everything done, but you will always get some things done. During your day you will find yourself distracted by many things: family, Slack, emails, even pets.

Don’t forget to make sure you complete each thing you started out to do before moving to the next. Before long you will be creating the change you always wanted to.

If you want to change the world... start off by making your bed.
